Sahara - The Hoggar Plateau, Algeria

Somewhere along the way, between the Niger-Algerian border at I-n-Guezzam and
the southern city of Tamanrasset, we came across this place, known as the ‘Cemetery’. Apparently, driving second-hand cars through the Sahara and selling them in the south, in countries like Nigeria, is not only good sport but also good business. Many Europeans, young or just plain nuts, make the trip. Some never get through. Exactly why so many cars choose
to die here together remains a mystery. And how their drivers get out is another.
