well I am losing my hair so that won't matter.

the Chemist i got them from said he has taken them and the only problem he faced was being a bit nausea

You'll find that the side effects of the drug which most healthy people would not experience or only experience slightly far outweigh the effects of the ailment which the drug is safeguarding against.
I have experienced side effects from some drugs but the ailment got cured and the side effects stopped when the course of medication was finished.

I've taken malarone on several trips, for about three months in total.

The only side effect I suffered from was severe evacuation of the wallet.
