Johnny, I was attempting to make a joke. I guess it didn't work.

Judith, I'll do the jokes......you're a serious ' American Mom ' ! :)

Don't worry about him Judy he's Scottish. Those sorts gain amusement from sources such as eating sheep's stomachs and tossing cabers. No wonder he's so unfunny.

Johnny's funny, but I think there's room for more than one funny person here. And I have to make up for all those naughty posts in "Sod it all". ;-)

Oh, no, 'soddit' (note the doubled consonant to make the new word - perfect English grammar here)isn't as bad as f***.(And you shouldn't hear me around the house when alone with my other half. I have to rein in lots of language with others)

I think my favourite euphemism is See You Next Tuesday. Now that's a real Anglo-Saxon profanity (they are supposed to have used it as a normal descriptive word) - i hate the word, just like the euphemism.

"See You Next Tuesday" ?
I really don't get that, maybe it's an accent thing.

georgy-girl:I like your style, thanx for your lovely greeting on my Welcome and Introductions site.I was proud to watch the Musical, and I love the title song:
"Georgy Girl.."
We've probably got plenty enough in common..The singer STING (THE POLICE)was born over a chip-shop in Wallsend;oh well,I suppose he had to start somewhere. If you fancy a get-together I might be able to meet you next Tuesday..but I warn you that Anglo-Saxon is not my strong subject. LOL bIG. @@@ blimey!!!--it's 3 0'clock in the morning and I'm still not tucked up in bed!
