Our Acer Notebook (with Turkish Vodaphone dongle for, well, Turkey and UK Vodaphone dongle for...you've guessed it!! The UK).

Never travel without at least one book, plus several mags and puzzles (especially sudoku).

If only there was an inflatable Johnny Depp - pirate version of course. *sigh*

Or you could have a Willy Wonka version - he'd bring his own chocolate of course.

:)

The suitcase. When it's packed I know I'm definitely going on holiday for a while.

A dongle is a small piece of computer hardware that lets you carry your desktop's memory around with you and use it in other machines.

That used to be the case, Ken, but now the term usually refers to a mobile wireless broadband adapter, which looks the same basically as the portable memory stick you refer to and also connects via the USB port(s).

I have to admit to refering to both as dongles but I know that I should really say memory stick.

However, in this case I am refering to a mobile wireless broadband adapter.

An easy way of keeping in touch via the internet when abroad and/or away from home.

Perhaps a memory stick and a dongle are different. That's why I dislike computers - turn around twice and your software is out of date or a favourite website cannot be accessed as easily as before. Why don't they leave it as it is for 10 years!

My second favourite travel gadget is the camera.

LOL, Wild, I was going to say that but thought coming from me it would be too predictable ! Angeline did'nt spring to mind though. Far too young for me. :)
