It's my favorite sport. I'm an Orioles fan, of course, being a Baltimore bred gal (now live in an adjoining county)! But, aside from the actual game, there is the feeling of community, a good feeling of being outdoors on a nice day, cheering your team , eating popcorn and peanuts, crabcakes, having an ice cold beer, hotdog or coke., etc. It's just the best! Knowing the personalities of the players is fun too, and possibly seeing frineds at the concessions stands, catching balls flying your way, discussing the game with total strangers.

Stern, I will type it up this weekend.
Patty is right. Part of the fun of baseball is the crowd. There is an intensity, but as a rule, not an angry one, (except among a few troublemakers, who are quickly and summarily removed).
It really is a picnic atmosphere.
BTW, I've been to Camden Yards. Baltimore is a good place to see a game.
You can get BBQ behind the outfield at Boog Powells stand. There is just the atmosphere.

The Red Sox park Fenway Park was built in 1912. It is very much a part of Sox tradition.

Silke, I am almost done with the essays and will let you read them. I wanted to bring this back up for our New Hampshire newbie, Jilly.
April is here.
