Which Mr. Palin posession would you save? by MissTrixiB on 6 April 2003 6:34pm

Here's a pleasent scenerio....
There's a fire/flood/plague in your house and you must leave quickly. WHAT Michael Palin possession would you save (there can be only one). I thought this would be interesting since some of us now have some new, more treasured possesions in our hands.

My choice-The Photo. As mentioned in the Icon thread, I got a photo from Full Circle signed. It's the one with the little girl and the BIG bag. I feel like the picture trenscends all boundries of language. It's a simple exchange that could happen anywhere in the world and they didn't need a common language for it to happen. Plus, the girl is cute as the dickens and reminds me of me when I was that age. He wrote 'Hi Missi - I'm Michael' on it, and I LOVE it!!!
So, what one item would YOU save, and why?
kisses-

that question poses an interesting dilemma for me considering i have a HUGE collection of Palin posessions. I guess I would have to narrow it down to one of the items i got signed at the Chicago events...but which one? Possibly my Time Bandits trailer because i love what he wrote on it ('to Kelly: I wrote this bit' then an arrow with a tiny little dot). Plus it reminds me of a great interraction between the two of us. Also it is of of my favorite items from my Gilliam collection as well. Yeah.

Oh wait. The Life of Brian prop rock! Possibly the silliest Palin/Kelly interaction (besides the Cardboard Terry stuff) and he stoned me with it!

oh no! what about the book which he inscribed to 'Creative Kelly with love'. That means a lot to me.

or what about the others? Yikes! I'd probably be running around trying to decide that I wouldn't be able to save anything in time. heh. I have deciding problems can you tell?

I think I'd have to say my signed copy of Sahara. I've always been obsessed with the Sahara desert, so it's pretty exciting to have the book and have it signed by him :)

Hmmm. would have to be the oiled loincloth from Life of Brian... :)
(KIDDING!)
actually, I would save my Python Flying Circus DVDs. They are essential to life-- like oxygen.
But then again, his travel books... and the Holy Grail... and the Full Circle videos...
waaah. This is tough.

wasabi on a nice jewish rye,
Helen

As all I have are items borrowed from the library - I'd save something else!!

One day I might own something Palinesque worth saving!!

Wow. I'd have to say my Holy Grail DVD just because he wrote "NI!" on it. that's hard though. I'm feely misty-eyed just thinking about losing all my stuff, especially the signed things I almost got lost in Chicago to get. ;)

ps) Missi--where did you get that picture from, with the kids!? I tried looking for it on here and couldn't find it. Heeeeelp meeeee!

It would be a toss up between my signed copy of Sahara and my signed Monty Python DVD boxed-set (with Michael as Pontius Pilate on the cover!) Perhaps we should all stash our valuables in a safe deposit box? *Hehe*

Cheers,
Michelle :)
