Any other palinites researching their family tree?

I have now got back to my 18 x Great Grandfather on my mother's side, born in 1330.

Sadly, still no royalty or great treasure as far as I know, though we did have a Hall in the 18th and 19th centuries!!

I am still looking....

;-)

I can 'beat' Spursfan ( as usual ). I can trace my family history back for over 2000 years. My grandfather x 80 was pals with the ' big man '. They played football against each other in a game that has sadly became forgotten in football ( soccer ) history. It was Scotland versus The Rest of the World.
Scotland won 4-1 and my ancestor scored 2 of the goals. ;)

i have a family sapling rather than a tree, it goes as far back as 1960ish. fun huh?

Ha ha very funny JtM. You know Scotland only 'found' football in the 1980s.

Anyway, I can't imagine any Scot scoring 2 goals in football, never mind in the same match!!! ;-)

Anne, are there links you can give us that can get us started without having to fork out big bucks to satisfy our curiosity?
