Palin-Spotting by thomasmbrooks30 on 10 April 2003 11:51pm
How about starting up a new hobby of Palin-Spotting? It involves visiting as many areas as possible that have featured in the TV series. It doesn't have to mean going far (except if you live in Timbuktu!, oh wait, that wouldn't be much of a challenge). For example, I have been up to Liverpool Street station in London and taken the Central line to Oxford Circus as Michael did at the end of 80 Days, just to say that I had. How about it as the new die-hard fans hobby? Or am I just a crazy obsessive?

LOL Ahhh I can see it all now Phyll at her local supermarket ,, with her head down into the bottom of the freezer for the last bag of frozen peas only to find it is the burst bag that nobody wanted ,the soles of her wingtips pointing in a heavenly direction, when all of a sudden with her purple face and bulging eyes pulls herself back to an up right standing position only to see her hero Michael standing there beside her, smiling THAT smile ....
Well I can dream can't I ??????? I suppose Palin -spotting can occur anywhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!even at Tesco !

Phyll x and her wishful thoughts !

I've already done this - I've been to Kewadin (or however you spell it) Casino, in Saulk St. Marie, Michigan - which he visited in Hemimgway Adventure. It wasn't because he'd been there though, as it was before I knew about Michael's travel shows. It was actually to see a concert, and I merely walked through the casino area. Which is a good thing, as I was under 18 years of age at the time. ;O)

Well Michael Palin went CORI-spotting in Key West. My husband and I were in Key West for four days at the beginning of Hemingway Days. We had to leave that Tuesday. He arrived that Wednesday.

In fact, he sat and talked to the mannequins on the bench after my husband did, and stuck his hand in the petting pool at the aquarium after I did. In fact, at the Holiday Inn La Concha, at the Hemingway House, at the aquarium, and at Sloppy Joe's (and possibly more places), people were no doubt telling him, "You're Michael Palin? Oh. There was this curly-haired woman looking for you. She said she was from your fan club..."

That's my story and I'm sticking to it.

This could also be posted under "We're all sick" !
