OK well I started last week being really good and eating salads and not eating rubbish.
Things have gone horribly wrong.
I have been picking and picking at all sorts of yummy Xmas stuff, I ate 1/2 the Maltesers that were supposed to decorate the cheesecake, and I've been picking at the chocolate caramel slice that was SUPPOSED to be for visitors AND I've opened a packet of Mint Slices!!!

All sorts of chocolate. I am not even hungry.

Mine, if you are asking, Johnny, is Cadbury's Dairy Milk Chocolate in a huge bar, or Flake. Toblerone is up there too - and I know our son will most likely give me a bar of it (probably huge) as one of my Xmas pressies.

But yes, a bar of Cadbury's Dairy Milk, you know, the sort in square chunks, does it for me!!! (I like to let each piece melt on my tongue - de-lish!!!)

Eat drink and be merry. Don't feel guilty about it. If you do, get some counselling. Don't compare yourself to movie stars or models, that will only hurt you. And you'll still look the same.

I've learned that beer is one of my essential food groups. Just a pint a day keeps my appetite normal and prevents having to punch even more holes in my belt.

LOL Peter ! Why do some guys end up with ' beer bellies' ? I've had the same waist size for 30 years ( 32 " ) and I've been known to have an occasional beer !

Hmmm let's see, it would either have to be dark chocolate with a green minty creme filling OR coffee flavoured ones. But to be honest I'm not that fussy, not overly keen on white chocolate though.

Wise words Pete, I shall NOT feel guilty today!!!!:)

When even the movie stars complain about their portraits being enhanced by well-meaning photo editors, you know that there's no way you can look like them. Not that I'd even try; I'd just like to get rid of the spare tire that's bigger than my bust. The new diet starts January 2! I know what works, it's just hard to stick to.

My favorite chocolate is just plain, 70% cocoa chocolate. MMMM! I love really strong chocolate--when I make my own hot cocoa from scratch, I always use twice what the recipe recommends. I also like chocolate bars with nuts or coffee beans. And I love non-pareils. YUM!

Lifestyle change vs terrible diets by Lounge Trekker on 25 December 2007 11:48pm

I've seen freinds and family in the unhealthy cycle of eating poorly, neglecting their health and fitness, then dieting with a severe program to try to lose weight. They do it over and over.

Hmmm...it can't be good for you to either gain or lose body mass in too short a time. Don't even look at the scale, it's what you feel like you weigh that matters. It might take a long time, mrsthing. Try this: when you first feel hunger, drink water. The second time, eat fruit as you prepare a meal. Have five or more 'meals' a day, eating less than you normally do at each meal.

All the details of what to eat and when haven't shown me any benefits, but eating less bread will help you.
