Well it's our son's wedding today and the weather looks bleak, so can I ask you all to cross your fingers (and anything else that's handy hahaha) and wish for good weather from, say, 12.30 p.m. UK time [the wedding is at 1 p.m.]?

Thank you !! ;)

Hope it all went well, Anne: and that weather didn't let you down.Perhaps there was an in door venue for photographs.I'm sure it was a lovely day, anyway.

Well, it's already too late for me to wish you good luck, but I hope it went well and they wound up wedded and dry. :-D I've heard that it's a lucky sign if it rains on your wedding day, but that's poor consolation when you're standing there in a rented tux with water dripping down your cumberbund. So how did it go?

Hopefully it's all rained out in time for the honeymoon... :-)

It was a lovely lovely day - the bride looked like a princess ! The weather was kind to us, the sun shone !! A lovely friendly atmosphere too, and there was a magician AND fireworks (which were stunning by the way - the last one was a sort of cascade that seemed to last ages!). And there was a sort of ice sculpture on the bar that they poured shots through and then there were holes that you put your mouth round - good fun!! The bridesmaids - Kat's chums so in their late 20s I guess - reminded us all of Sheila's Wheels, with their dresses and hairdos!!! But they were stunners, and lovely and friendly too. I will post a link to some photos later in the week. Thank you all for crossing your bits (!!) it seemed to work !

Anne x
