OMG, how weird - poor little baby. I hope the baby recovers. I suppose it must have been its twin.

This is an incredible story. Very rare that the conjoined twin vestiges wind up in the head.

I've got a story!! I have a niece who had a conjoined twin in her belly. They didn't know it for years. I think around age 7 or 8 they started doing scans, looking for spinal issues. Everyone was always telling poor Tracy to stop slouching and sit up straight! Of course she was and we didn't realize it. Just a slight protrusion in her belly.

After the procedure to remove it, the fluid from the sac got into Tracy's system and then she had cancer from that. She was very ill, we thought we'd lose her. BUT she is now 22, going to college and all is well.

Poor little baby--thank goodness he's on the mend. I'm glad your niece is well now, Cori!

Oh what a story, Cori, really glad she's OK. It must have been such a shock when they found the twin though.

Glad your niece is fine Cori but these stories make me think of the movie Alien.....and John Hurt's abdomen. Shiver.

According to the BBC site, the little dude's doing very well. Cori, I'm glad to hear about Tracy's recovery. Johnny, you might want to check out "Spaceballs" for their nod to the "Alien" series :).

Yes, Cori -- so happy for your niece and family. :)

When Meg was pregnant and I used to feel the movement of my daughters in her tummy, it delighted and disgusted me at the same time. Disgusted, only cos I imagined how it would feel to have another human inside me. Ewwwwww.
Talk about aliens ? My two girls are soooo ugly I'm surprised they did'nt just burst through Meg's stomach and attack me....it would've been easier on me . :)
