I do admit that we are not the best language-speakers in the world (though English-speaking persons are famous for being worse than us), but that article seems to be relying on stereotypes more than anything else. And I'm not only defending French people here (that I can't actually stand meeting abroad).

Reducing a population to "loudest", "nicest", "best-dressed" (whatever that means, btw) is a bit short to me.
I was incredibly bored in Spain, a country famous for its sense of partying and welcoming, and I always had an incredibly good weather in Ireland, a country that's not green for nothing. And people keep telling me that Norwegians are cold people, hard to get on with... and I answer that I'll see when I get there.

Nothing against you, ev, I hope you understand that!
But really, what good is this article (and survey) going to do? Next time you see a French tourist, will you be so surprised that he actually can speak your language, doesn't throw his garbage on the floor, and helps old ladies to cross the street?
And anyway, as an example, maybe English-speaking people think the French are loud, but let me tell you that we think that Spanish people are so much louder, and I've heard that they think Italian people are loud.

We're always the bad tourist of someone else...! And what makes a bad tourist is usually his inability to understand that the country he's in doesn't live according to his standards (of food, politeness, etc.)...!

No worries, Amaia - I also question the value of this survey but I find it interesting and maybe amusing, nonetheless. :)

As long as you can put in perspective these informations, yes, it's amusing...!
