From today`s Radio Times by Louise on 20 May 2003 7:45pm

" ... The former Monty Python star is trekking from the legendary Khyber Pass on Pakistan`s northern frontier with Afghanistan to the Bay of Bengal in the Indian Ocean ... " etc. etc.

MP is also quoted as saying he`ll be travelling to the Everest base camp.

I saw that! It says the series should be shown THIS autumn, ie 2003. In the email form webbie, it said autumn 2004. Do we know which is correct?
Have fun, Michael!

I wish I had a copy...
Oh well, any news is good news!
^_^
I was wondering what route he'd be taking...how far North, for example? Lhasa, or beyond?

I really can't see the series being shown this Autumn, unless the journey is only a week long or something. I'm afraid 2004 seems like the correct dating, even though I wish it wasn't.

With you on that Rich ( you are like the webbie - read and occasionally join in- our very own Big Brother!!)

I would have thought that with all the editing etc and the book signings to be organised - it would be 2004 - just to give MP a bit of a rest, probably a mis print.

LOL

We can't have an overworked Michael, can we?
;)
You're probably right. I was wondering which was correct.

There were so many different dates set for Sahara before it was on TV. The BBC must chop and change their mind a lot.

The articel in the RT is samll but very informative - good buy

There is also an article on another comedian/presenter - Bill Oddie (ex Goodies)- I have always admired him for his birding with.... and wild with... progs which are worth watching - I did meet him a few years back and he signed my bird book!!
