Husband cards by Spursfan on 24 November 2009 10:24am

Well I will probably go and get the husband's Xmas and anniversary cards today and I KNOW it will be difficult to find the right one!

I'll get them in the end, but why do card manufacturers think all men are interested in cars/fishing/yachting/pipeandslippers/football? My husband is interested in none of the above.

He is a scuba diver (as I was), loves a Staffie (of course!!), and likes Charlie Chaplin and Laurel & Hardy. So I scour the shelves looking for something that is not overly expensive along those lines.

Usually I manage to find nice ones for him but always feel frustrated when I see the choice of gorgeous ones for wives!!

Is it because card manufacturers know that we women will spend time looking for the right card while men just pick the first one (my husband aint like that btw)?!!

Gggggrrrr!!!

:(

Hi Spursfan, why not make your own card for him?

I have in the past, Loretto and we did photo Christmas cards with Tosun dressed as Rudolph for special friends at Xmas, but sometimes it is easier to buy!!

Sometimes you just happen to fall upon JUST the right card - say, a scuba diving Staffie!! - but then it doesn't say husband so you have to compromise.
