Don loves his video games and even he thought this was insane! I like Sonic the Hedgehog, but I wouldn't want to have him as a pet. Though when I watch Emony charging around, I sometimes think I have,

Well, thank goodness he didn't marry Lara Croft! She's like the only female role model I've ever had. (Don't tell my mum I said that!)

Well, whatever next!

People do all kinds of crazy stuff. Like symbolically drinking the blood of a fictional character called Christ, for example. So this guy marrying a computer game character is only so weird because it's the first time.

Virtual and robot pets have already been around for a while now (e.g. Tamagochi). As time goes on, more people will have virtual or robotic companions. Technology will emerge (or is already emerging) that will allow the man in the article to have sex with his virtual wife.

Just think, all the physical stimuli, without the arguments about who's going to do the washing up.. ;)

Ev, why do you purposely insult believers? It is your opinion and you have a right to think that way, but don't be so disrespectful to others. You ought to be ashamed of yourself.

I wasn't purposely insulting believers. I said that there isn't much difference between people symbolically drinking the blood of a fictional character called Christ, and a person marrying a computer game character.

In addition, 'being ashamed of yourself' is what churches having been telling people to do for umpteen generations. And that's far more insulting than anything I could ever think of.
