another cricketing faux pas . by irishmanufan on 30 May 2003 10:03pm

i was reading diamonds qutoe about the imortal line of criket commentator brain johnstone in a cricket game where the batsman was called holding and the bolwer was called willie . owing to the fact my father is english and a cricket nut through and through . i remember another mistake done by his co comentator jonaton agnew . during a match ian botham took and swing at a ball that was bowled to him and had to step back and try to get himself over the stumps without knocking them down . he failed . aggers said the line " he did'nt quite get his leg over !!!!" both him and brian jonstone got a right big fit of the giggles :0) well i thought it was funny anyway you have to hear it !
peace
Linda
