The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Why am I not surprised? by mrsteabag on 23 July 2010 8:15pm

If I were quartered on top of an oil rig, the alarms wouldn't bother me as much as being 40 miles out to sea and all the other things that could go wrong. :P

If they knew for a year that it was "inhibited" and the excuse was that they didn't want false alarms waking people up at 3:00 am, well, I'd rather be awake at 3 am than dead at 4:00am.

We have regulators for almost every thing we do, Departments of Health, Fire and Safety, USDA, FDA, and on and on, who regulates and ensures the safety on oil rigs?

Surely someone inspected the fire drill log? I had to have one ready for the Fire Marshall when the school was inspected annually.

Thanks for the article mrsteabag.

BP is starting to sound like Laurel and Hardy. And this is another fine mess, you've gotten us into. Now with Tropical Storm Bonnie in the Gulf? Just think of the brown stuff on the shrimp as a new roux sauce. It is Louisiana after all, y'all.
