Got the sweets ready for any trick or treaters that come to my door!

I expected kids to come round last night, as when I was young, if halloween fell on a Sunday, we went out on the Saturday evening.

There aren't that many kids in the village, but even so I usually get stuff in ready for treats (sweets and lollies) and put them in a little plastic cauldron. I even put a witch's hat on!!

Last year NO-ONE came round!! Haven't bothered this year - want a bet that someone will arrive tonight??

:(

It's the same here Anne. Last year no kids came to our door, yet on other years Meg has made up 40 little bags of goodies and ran out after an hour.

Hey guys, its 4pm here in US so 11pm in Europe. Hope Samhain was fun and ye did get kids to the house. Our son Sean, aged 12, has decided he's not going out this year. He's had a 4 hour swim meet and an hour of water polo, so he's tuckered out. Its a pity really because we live in a great neighborhood for trick or treating (we used to call it mummers in Ireland) and it is just not the same as in previous years. He was going to dress up as John Lennon!

Well, I had one trick or treater, a tiny little girl dressed in a witch's costume with, probably, her big brother. There were a few other children behind her but when I came back with the sweets the "brother" said they had run off. Probably the kids I told off for climbing up my tree last weekend!

We had none due to the torrential rain all night. Apparently we've just had the wettest October in 38 years.
