Queen Elizabeth 2 Visits Ireland by Loretto on 17 May 2011 1:53pm

Despite a few AH's still living with bitterness trying to ruin things, I am delighted that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Phillip continued with their plans.

I don't know what AH's are Lorretto but so long as HM doesn't get the idiotic confrontations that Neil Lennon (Glasgow Celtic football manager) has been subjected to then they should enjoy their visit. It's definitely time to let bygones be bygones.

I think I've figured out what your abbreviation stands for and if it is what I think it is then it is a very good and simpler description of idiotic confrontationalists.

I think idiotic confrontationalists is a very nice way to say Ar...s...e H...o....les Ken. Very nice indeed.

As a fellow part-Irish person myself, I am glad she visited. The more bridges between Britain and Ireland we can build the better. This nonsense has been going on for far too long and is totally pointless.

Well said Terry, we have more in common than we have that differentiates. Focus on the ties that bind us together as two island nations making a future together to forge better relations, better prosperity and put the past where it belongs, in the past.

Peace, Siochan.

Yeah, let me just write it as history and let bygones be bygones. Carrying a grudge just makes you sick.

tm, I sometimes think that when historians dig up the past it adds to the problem.

Are they making it a decent break and having a fortnight's holiday in Ireland?

LOL, Ken Ireland is too expensive to spend two weeks there!

I wanted to add that yesterday I teared up when I read that Queen addressed attendees at a State dinner held in her honor by stating, "Madame President and friends," in Gaelic. I really am proud of both countries leaders coming together.
