Motorhome by Spursfan2 on 5 August 2011 10:38am

Well, I have just put an ad in the local paper selling our beloved motorhome!!

We first bought it in 2007 (off ebay) so that we could take Tosun away, but for the last 2 years or so it we haven't been out in it and so it has just sat on our driveway losing money really.

In fact, it has just passed its MOT, and I checked the last one and it had done 7 miles in those 12 months!! And that was probably driving to and from the test centre!!

I admit I have shed some tears over losing it; we have had some great times in it. There is nothing like the freedom it gives you. Sob sob.

However, we have to be practical - as I said it is just losing money - but I WILL miss it!!

:(

£2,500 - at the end of the day it IS 1986, but it has only done 64,000 miles.

Let me know, hahaha!! If you ARE interested I could maybe get some photos to you??

I talked about it with Zak and, to be honest, that is a relief, Terry as neither of us want to sell it to friends.

Don't get me wrong, at the moment it is running perfectly (or as perfectly as you'd expect at that age), but I would be forever worrying that something went wrong after a friend had bought it. Does that make sense?!

If a complete stranger has it, no probs. As far as we are aware it is in good working order (which it is!) and we won't wake in the night worrying that something goes wrong.

On the other hand at least we would have known it had gone to a good home....!

I think I understand what you're saying. And I'm flattered that you consider us friends (as opposed to internet aquaintences). Thank you so much. You're really sweet. And as Kirby would say, "Right back at ya!".

Well Zak is currently showing our 2nd viewer the motorhome. The first man, last night, was impressed but said he needed to talk it over with his wife.

This morning a lady rang about 8.30 and asked if she could be the first one to see it (sorry luv, you are 2nd!!) and said she would bring the money with her and make a decision there and then. I was going to make appts to view from 2 p.m., but she asked for this morning and as she seemed keen....!!! Shge arrived with, presumably, her husband/partner.

Don't know the outcome yet of this viewing - and I am in two minds anyway as you all know!! I am :) AND :( !!
