I love your site Mr P. by johnnyBgood! on 14 June 2012 4:46am

We all signed up here for our interest in Michael or Python but there's a nice wee community here, which I think reflects on Michael's nature.

I used to be cynical about the net but I've 'met' many lovely people here and on FB who I truly regard as friends.

I've spoken to about 5 people from this site on the phone and exchanged emails with quite a few others. The two that I can't stand are that fake Australian woman and that crazy old English football fan.

I seen an old sitcom "George and Mildred" a few days ago.

"Johnny and Karen", or "Johnny and Anne" would've been hilarious !

Lonnie, you and I would just have fought too much to make a sitcom out of :)

Love to you all and I'm glad to see my friend Wheelnut back posting.

I am far too busy keeping up appearances to make a sitcom (see what I did there? lol).

I too love this site, and have 'met' some lovely, lovely people here. It IS like a family.

The only person I can't STAND is that irritating Scottish fella with the rusty sporran who keeps pet haggis in his spare time.

:P

Ah go on, go on, go on. Ya will, ya will, ya will.

I wouldn't fight John, I'd just poison the tea. :-)

Hey, is that Anne the red head? :-)

It is a pity though that some members who posted here regularly when I first discovered this site 2 and a half years ago, no longer post. I still chat with my favorites on Facebook, that I am glad of. And yes it is out of respect for Palin and the fact that the man is still working hard after all of these years that I post here. Plus I think he's a great role model. Still broad minded, supportive of immigrants into the UK and married to the same woman for, what is it, forty plus years. I won't use the word "nice" but I will say he's seemingly normal, whatever "normal" is :-)

Ooh I know....remember Robin's Nest? Maybe we can make a series of that with John Anne and Me. Actually weren't the Ropers their landlords?

Speaking of favorites on FB, hello there Missus!
Robin's Nest? Hmm. Time for a google:
Nope never heard of it, must have been too risqué for RTE back in the mid seventies when the Catholic church and Frank Hall were the censors for programming!

Aha! David Kelly was in it too, potraying the affable Irish eejit.

MP was always my fave Python and I just loved '80 days' when it was first screened. I came across this site by accident and became addicted !

LOL Loretto, I'm so stupid I would drink the poisoned tea ! Pauline McLynn (Mrs Doyle) used to be in a crazy comedy/drama here called "Shameless" and I had quite mixed feelings watching her do a raunchy sex scene in it !

Karen, I think you are right about those old sitcoms. It was actually a spin-off movie of George&Mildred that I seen recently. Can you imagine that people actually used to pay at the cinema to see such films ? Very different days then.

Anne, I have to admit that my sporran is very rusty these days. Wee Meg no longer likes traditional Scottish attire. ;)

Ah go on, go on, go on!

My favorite episode, well one of my favorites, from Father Ted is when the English actor beats the crap out of Father Ted for repeating the punchline from his sitcom. "You can't be serious." We see the beating happen in the background as Dougal looks on and when Ted walks back with his head held low, Dougal asks, "Well, what did he say?"

It's a long time since I could go on, go on, go on. ;)

Mrs Doyle was fantastic!

Ohh yes Loretto that's the episode where they got stuck in a cave and sang Bohemian Rhapsody!
