A very serious note about our fellow Palinite, Lou by Dianne on 14 August 2003 6:50am

Lou's mother has passed away and I would like to mention it here so you can all show your true Palinite spirit and pass on your condolences to her as well as your prayers and thoughts.

Whether Lou will feel like checking out this site during this awful time for her does not matter, because I will email on any messages posted here anyone wishes to send her to make sure she does not miss them. I hope that any message you may wish to send her will help her, even if it is just a little.

Thank you.
Dianne

Dianne, please pass my love and kind thoughts to Lou, so sorry to hear of her sad loss.

I just lost a dear, dear friend to cancer a few days ago myself so I know how she is feeling at the moment.

Take care

This is an American Indian poem that someone gave me when my father passed. I hope it helps a little.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the shimmering stars that shine at night,
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.....

My condolenses to you, Lou.

Dear Lou,

May all the good memories you have of your mother help sustain you during this very sad time. There is no replacing a parent, but time will help to heal your heart, even though it's hard to really believe it right now. It takes a long time, so just treat yourself good until then.

I felt so close to my Dad when he died and still do. Still, almost 10 years later, a day doesn't pass that I don't think of him. I know he is watching from above. And I know your Mom is doing the same for her loved ones.

With deepest sympathy,
Patty~

My thoughts are with you Lou. I'm very sorry.

Cori, a friend gave me the same poem when my grandfather passed away several years ago. I thought it was beautiful and hung it on my fridge. It's still there to this day.
