Part 2-Michael and the 'Rock Man' (Himalaya Trip) by MatthewKrelle on 29 November 2003 8:11pm

I have recently been to Nepal (October 2003) for an expedition around the high passes of everest. We had a day in Kathmandu before we flew out to the Everest region. During this day we went out and explored Kathmandu. In an area called Pashupati I bumped into Michael filming 'himalaya'.

I was waiting to see the infamous 'rock man' who as an act of celebacy hangs huge rocks from his testicles! I wonder whether the BBC will show that?. Anyway managed to have a brief chat with him and I wish him well for the rest of his journey.

Can't wait to see the show, the himalayas are a magical place!

Re: photo.
Is this the new Python line-up by any chance?
If so, I think the bloke at the front could have made more of an effort!

Sophie Lou,
He couldn't hang around to chat for long (busy schedule I guess). Just asked what he was up to and he explained his trip across the himalaya. As you may already know it starts in Pakistan and ends up at the bay of Bengal (Bangladesh). Will put some more pics on at some point. Have one of the filming and the infamous rock man!
