george besst new liver by Katin on 30 January 2004 11:56pm

can you believe this guy gets a second chance. and now hits the bottle again but now decides to put others at risk by driving over the limit.Maybe a spell in prison would help.I sincerely hope the family of the donor are not aware who the recipient of their loved ones liver is.

With you all the way Pedro!!

I used to hero worship Geroge when i was young and at school - do I remember Man U winning the European Cup in 1968 - was George the coolest footballer out!!!

With all his money - why the **** doesn the man get a chauffeur!!! talk about set a bad example!!

His wife is on the "I am an unknown/hasbeen get me some publicity" programme live from the oz outback/jungle at the moment too.

want to know what sort of jungle george lives in - the one where leopards dont change their spots!! or drinking holes)!!!

Oh I admired the man as a footballer no one could touch him.But to see him reduced to a pathetic mess the mind boggles.could it possibly be money, cant handle fame,or simply that some celebs feel they are above the law,I met the same George in a manchester night club many moons ago surrounded by a bevy of girls, and of course drinking. And playing a magnificent game next day.As previously stated maybe a spell in isolation away from temptation would be the best way to help him.

Best is entitled to pi$$ his life up against the wall like the rest of us.
However that makes him inelligible for a donor liver. He has probably deprived some more worthy patient the quality of life they deserve.

20 months ban and £1500 fine

not enough!!

Too right! As Pedro said, I hope the donors family do not know where the liver went.
