Izot,

If you can still use Internet fully, then go to Microsoft's internet page. This "Sassar Worm" apparently has been known to attack Microsoft Word. On the Microsoft page, there is a utility you can download which removes the Worm and corrects any damage it may of done. Before that, they have a utility you can also download, which scans to see if you have Sasser infection.

Failing that, then try and see if you can complete what you were doing, on the inbuilt notepad/wordpad which is part of Windows. Go to "Start",open "All programs", go to "Accesories", and then to "Entertainment" and you should find Notepad or Wordpad there.

Worth a shot anyway.

*stops stomping feet*

I fixed the net - someone put my security settings too high.

I talked to my computer guy the other day and he said it might be something wrong with a card in the 'puter.

Anyway, I've fixed it.

Or , better yet, get an Apple product. No Windows , thus no nasty viruses and worms.

I've been hearing the opposite lately. It's common belief that Mac is immune to such problems. Since i had my problem the other week, i ended up on sites where there are some really clever folks involved in PC security as their business. Apparently, the common belief that Mac is immune, is not entirely true (although,i dont have the specifics to pass on here). I think they're certainly much more secure than Windows based systems. But apparently they have their own set of problems, and can still be infected.

No godfather....NO
I love my Mac's - (plural)
they never get viruses, sure things go wrong now and again but they are much more reliable than windows!
