Can I assume this show has many fans here?

I don't know if it's available outside the US...

Oh yes!

Totally, I loved that show and would be trying like mad to get on it, but they only let US citizens on! How rude! I guess it might be something to do with visas, making sure they know where everyone can get into etc etc. But It shouldn't be that hard to get a Kiwi into other countries, we're on good terms with everyone. I think it would be really interesting to put some other nationalities in there, see how they deal with the world.

The show is great although I think some of the characters in the older series (Ken & Gerard, Danny & Oswald, even Flo & Zach!) had more character than some of those in the later series. I waiting for a reply from TVNZ about TAR6 as it premieres on CBS in the US on the 16th November.

A good website for TAR info and discussion is www.televisionwithoutpity.com The episode summaries by 'Miss Alli' are hilarious!

They can't allow other Nationalities because then they'd get a plethora of Well Traveled Australians who would blow everyone else out of the water.

I have absolutely no idea what this `show` is about?
No Palin = no interest for me.

Series 6 of the Amazing Race begins Sunday 28 November at 7.30pm with a
2-hour premiere on TV2 in NZ.

Despite a lack of Palin, this show is an excellent mix of travel, game show and reality TV.

The Amazing Race puts 12 or so pairs of people (best friends, spouses, boyfriend/girlfriend. boyfriend/boyfriend, clowns, family whatever) in a race arounds the world. The go to all sorts of cool places and have to do various things along the way. There are pit stops and travel restrictions that make sure the group stays fairly well compacted. In the last round here one couple got a massive 10 hours lead at one point only to be boiled down to nearly nothing by the end of the show.
It really is brilliant to see all these great things and how the relationships work under pressure. Some people become favourites, some become dispised, but all are envied for getting on the show to start with.

Things they do: In New Zealand they had to drive from the AIrport to the marina, find the right boat with the clue and that told them to go out under the harbour bridge, climb up a rope ladder and jump back off again, then hightail down to Rotorua for a spot of Zorbing.

In The Philippines they had choose between three islands each with flags on and only one was the correct national flag, you find out by going there and they are 20 mins apart so it can cost you badly.

Anyway it's totally brilliant and won awards and besides Michael it's the best thing on TV

I have to agree with Louise and justherb on this one.
