The Chatter Box : Blathering On

Audio Book/iPod by Nikolajf on 2 February 2003 1:20pm

5:13 AM, Cambridge MA. Just polished off a turkey dinner and two Poland Spring water bottles. The room is dark but for the glow of my computer screen and it's looped little screen saver movie of a fireplace. The low crackle blends in perfectly with Michael's voice recounting the beginning of each journey across this great planet. My only regret is that I won't be able to continue this treat (the Audio Books, not the turkey) on my iPod. The Audio Books could easily be downloaded (for a fee) in standard .mp3 format and would make a perfect companion in the already perfectly suited for travel-iPod.
I'm not sure who to direct this request to, but an easy access to .mp3 versions of the Audio Books, would surely be a profitable enterprise.

Just a thought....

And now. Finally. Time for bed.

Good night!
Nikolaj

That's a great idea- I hate how audiobooks always have to be abridged to fit on the tapes.

The iPod will even pick up from where you left off. Highly useful for long books/.mp3s or when switching between iPod and computer.

...just curious as to what you were doing eating a turkey dinner at 5:13 AM...

It really isn't any of your business, but since you ask:

I was hungry!

In case someone dealing with the inner workings of this site should stop by - I though I'd bring the subject back up on the board.

Allowing us to download Palin's books would not nly be a source of income, but making it a lot easier for people around the world to share in the excellent adventures of Mr.P.

Also, they would work great in an iPod on a six-hour planeride.
