Every now and again you sneak a glimpse at a very handy looking messenger bag that Michael uses. Anyone seen anything similar anywhere as I can't find anything like it?

Mark,

See my thread "The Bag Michael Uses" on page 2.

Thanks Rick.

Read your stuff. Do you have a reference or a model number or something for this piece of legendary luggage? Is there a piccy of it anywhere?

Cheers
Mark

Mark,

As the other thread had veered off on a tangent, I'll reply here. No, no pic, but it's 90% identical to the one in Himalaya. The only difference I can see is that his has an extra pocket at one end.

From what I've read, at different sites, I suspect a number of firms have been contacted throughout his travelling career. I'm sure they're quite happy to provide a couple of bags to be road-tested on an "epic journey" to be seen by 8m viewers!

Don't know what you've "read, at different sites", Rick, but Michael chooses and pays for all his gear. There's no contacting firms for freebies.

It should be noted that Coca Cola (or was it Pepsi) got a sneeky freebie advert in during the first episode of Himalaya, where he's eating at the Khan's palace. No alcohol was served (naturally) so the servant came along with a bottle of Coke to pour into his wine glass. Anyone remember that? A nice little sly look in for Coca Cola there.

Is this Webmaster`s post here from the real Oil Webmaster or a troll?
Rick didn`t actually suggest any freebies.
I thought Webbie always signed off with `Cheers` ...

It does seem like Rick is implying that, to me anyway, definitely.
