The chat was n*ce and in the end not so hectic as I thought. I love Mike's humor.
Thanks!

I thought it worked rather well once the initial hiccups were taken care of, and once the creases are ironed out it could really be a great place for Mike to interact with his fans... I'm astounded that he has the energy to travel through the Sahara, follow up with all those signings and then start planning a new big trip. Hope they keep updating the website when he's out travelling again so that it doesn't stay too static.

It's okay, Trixi!

Some of us who were there the whole time plus didn't get to enjoy more than five minutes of Michael answering questions because the site/chatroom was so clogged that it kept freezing or we kept getting kicked off. :O(

:O( :O(

not everyone was so happy - having Mp around can cause great disappointment for a lot of people and then anger and frustration sets in which is not healthy
this really needs sorting out now

It saddens me that so many people seem to have taken the chat glitches so personally. As a computer programmer, I pretty much expected some rough patches, and was impressed that it went as well as it did. I was kicked out a few times, but after some persistence always managed to get back in. I've experienced the same issues with any other web chat I have participated in.

Michael is very generous to offer us some of his time. He meets fans at booksignings, has this wonderful website, and now even fields questions through the chat. His appeal is truly world-wide, and the web gives those of us who haven't had the pleasure of meeting him in person the opportunity to communicate with him.

It seems to me that Michael is trying to act as a facilitator, to get those of us from different parts of the world to communicate with each other. He enjoys travel, and wants to share his enthusiasm with the rest of us. I, for one, have been greatly inspired by him. Watching the series have shown me a lot about what to expect from international travel, and have gotten this ex-armchair traveller out of the armchair and into the world.

I think we should be thankful for the time that Michael spends with us. If chats cause more hard feelings than positive ones, what is the incentive for him to do more?

Thanks, Michael and Webmaster, for making such a wonderful site, and for all of the new features you are always adding.

Peace,
Stephanie

Well said Stephanie. It is good to get the viewpoint from a computer programmer. Glitches are the norm with these dang things! Now where's that typewriter... :)
Peace right back atcha,
Helen
