The Chatter Box : Blathering On
CAT trip by Ahren on 24 April 2005 10:26pm
Heya folks!

Just back from a trip to Wales for the Centre for Alternative Technology. It was great fun and really educational. Reed beds were used for sewage disposal, and there was also the more.... interesting option of the compost toilet. Basically a toilet perched ontop of a big pit that slowly filled up and turned to compost, which was then used on their gardens!
There was a monorail thing that ran on water to get up to the center itself, and didnt use any electricity, i dont think. It was all about water balance and stuff!
Sadly i didnt see any frogs, but the weather was pretty good for Wales, and only rained when we were playing on the beach! Typical!! Im absolutely knackered now after a long drive in cramped conditions sitting next to Emma! *shudders* Memories!!!

Are you going to go or just look at it?
It was great fun, apart from the journey home next to the most annoying person ever!!

In case you were wondering, girls are better than boys playing football and rounders!! We beat them both times!!!!

the toilet idea will never catch on!
Re: CAT trip by Ahren on 25 April 2005 8:02pm
Most of the girls chickened out, but the only thing terribly wrong was the smell!!

You'll need a pretty big garden and a very strong stomach if you wanted one at home!!!
