Competitions by Dianne on 22 February 2003 11:00am

I see there will be a competition here next week. I wonder what the prizes will be. Iím looking forward to seeing that and what the competition will entail.

Who belongs to the group of people who say, ďI never win anything!Ē And who enters competitions all the time and wins time and time again? Iím in between, I hardly ever win, but donít enter a lot of competitions so itís no wonder! :-)

I'm looking forward to having a go at these competitions too - I've got all of the books and series' fresh in my mind - I've just been re-visiting them all.

I belong to the "I never win anything" group - but that's because... I never win anything! Despite trying very hard! But to be honest - I enjoy the trying enough that I really don't need to win something. It would just be a nice surprise.

Looking forward to getting competitive!

I wish you all good luck for the competiton next week! It'll be intresting to see what it entails...
I myself shall not be participating..oooohhhh. I'm afraid I think I'm a little too new to Palinism to know very much at all! But I will cram as much reading as I can into the next week to see how far I can get...:P
If there are any Monty Python questions, im sure I'll ace them though!
Hoping you all win,
:0) ~~Megs~~ :0P

I usually am not good at these games. But I'll enjoy seeing the questions. I hope our answers are NOT broadcast to all the Palinites. I'd be embarrassed to show my stupidity. Of course, on 2nd thought, the answers can't show, since people could use them to answer their own questionaire. Hmmmmm.. It should be fun.

In keeping with the international flavour of the website and Michael's travels, I hope that the competitions will be open to those of us who reside outside the UK ?????

Re: Competitions by Rusted on 23 February 2003 2:49am

Do you think it'll be something like a questionaire, as Patty suggested, or more like a real-time competition between Palinites?

Either way I'm on the same wavelength as Megs (mostly because I can't *find* much of Michael's stuff where I am), but I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest of you fare. An interesting idea! :O)

Good news is a friend of mine has picked up a copy of "Hemingway's Adventure" for me (he's in a much larger city)! :O) Can't wait to see him again and peruse the book!

I hope it's a questionnaire or something available to those of us not able to get up at 3am in the morning and join in!

I'm quite looking forward to it - should be fun!

I'll give it a try. It will be fun. If I win something that will be great, but what I consider most important is to give it a try and enjoy myself.

I hope it would be something like a questionnaire, because I may not be able to join in either. Let's wait and see!

I can't wait to give it a go!!! It sounds like fun, and like all of you I'm hoping it's a questionnaire!!
:( And belong in the "don't-win-anything-much" crowd - unless you count third prize in an class easter raffle 7 years ago. It was an egg. Very exciting.
