Being an American, we aren't into soccer, but I'll cheer for Micahel's team any day, so I guess that's Sheffield.

Re: Football Teams by Helen on 23 February 2003 10:14pm
I loved it. It's quite funny.
He dedicated to Helen....
It's hoot to see my name in his book, even though I'm another Helen, not the correct one, the one he dedicated the book to-- I'm not his wife, so .. I'm another Helen, completely unrelated to the man, I haven't even met him... but I digress
(Get on with it!!!!!!) :)
Yeah, it's good. Bit of a bookworm myself.
I think you will enjoy it! He talks about sex for a bit... Sorry, needed to throw that in there...
peace and a cuppa,

Re: Football Teams by Diamond on 24 February 2003 2:16am
Hi david

West Ham hey! didnt they get beaten by Man U once 7 - 1 but as I said to a friend who supoorts WHU to look on the bright side it could have been 8 - 1 !!

they are the stong team West HAm as they stay at the bottom (to support all the others) but never go down!

Peace and Rugby Union for ever!!

it had to be diamond as there could not be a piglet3 or tigger - master would not allow it! (ivory tower thread!)

Have not read this book--- tell me more...
Hemingway Adventure is also a fun, fun read. Basil Pao's photography is stunning.
Enjoy! :)
Peace and lots of good pages,

Hello Helen! I think Basil's work is incredible. Photography has always interested me and I have taken tons of photos in my lifetime. Basil knows just how to balance getting the great shot to see something interesting without invading people's privacy. He's to be commended. And he has a great sense of color and a good eye for composition.

I sat next to his family when I heard Michael lecture on Hemingway and Basil was there with his slide show. A real nice fellow too.
