I THINK MICHAEL SHOULD... by random_python69 on 29 June 2005 10:32pm
i think that michael palin should do a tour of england talking about his life and travels. i dont know is anybody knows who kieth floyd is but he recently did this. it would be a great benifit to all the fans of michaels and the audience could ask questions and feel like they were getting to know him. he could also do some autographs at the end.

I was just checking out this site to see if he was doing any other appearances.

I found your comments about Tibet’s history on the Travel Channel to be apologetic and untruthful. In reality, China brutally invaded Tibet, destroyed thousands of Buddhist monasteries, tortured and killed many Buddhist monks or forced them into labor camps. You can applaud China’s modern technology that they’ve transported to Tibet but it is no different than applauding the fascist Mussolini for getting the trains to run on time.

I also think Mike should travel around the uk and visit the places that interest him, he has a great intrest in trains....sorry Mike "Steam Engines, Locomotives", maybe he could make a programme on his hobby about Locomotives from around the world. Cannada, America, India and Africa are but a few of the places that still sometimes use steam.

The only problem with doing a trip round the UK is that a load of others have done it, particularly Bill Bryson in Notes from a Small Island, so it would be difficult to find a fresh angle. Billy Connolly did his World Tour of Scotland and subsequently World Tour of England, Ireland and Wales. I'd love to see Michael doing one though.

He should do a whistle-stop tour of the EU, 25 nations in 6 hour long episodes!.
