Borodin music in Pole to Pole by Colleeninoxford on 29 October 2005 10:23am

Hello. There is a beautiful short piece of Borodin when Michael is visiting his grave in Leningrad. I would like to get a copy of it. Can anyone provide information on it? Please email me at colleeninnepal@hotmail.com. Thanks!

I don't have the series on any media at the moment, unfortuantely. If i had, i could probably tell you which Borodin piece it was. Classical pops up in his series sometimes. When Michael arrives in the States by ship in 80 days, there is a clever little tribute to Dvorak's New World Symphony (for obvious reasons) just before the 80 days march begins again. I love the way the composer blended it in. I have to get all the series on DVD sooner or later because i'm lagging behind and do feel like watching Pole-Pole again sometime soon, because it's been a while.

This piece of music by Borodin is called "Prince Igor"

There is an excellent rap/opera version of this by Warren G - Rapsody

Hope this helps

I have Prince Igor on CD. I had forgotten what the music was on Pole to Pole The music is great. It would make a great panoramic movie.
