Guilty Pleasures by pandab on 16 March 2006 2:53am

The "Bet You Didn't Know" thread (a.k.a. Spam thread) inspired this question ...

What foods are your guilty pleasures? You know, the things you love to eat but know other people wouldn't touch without a 10-foot pole and Geiger counter <G>.

Me? My guiltiest pleasure is a combination my family calls Chipped Beef & Spinach.

Chipped Beef & Spinach is Stouffer's creamed chipped beef on toast with a side of their spinach souffle.

When I was little, my brother and I spent most weekends with my grandmother. She got us hooked on this stuff. It was a Saturday night tradition.

She has been gone for almost 25 years now, but my brother and I still get our CB&S fix on occasion. He has to wait until his wife and kids are out of the house. They say it grosses them out. Since I live alone, I can indulge whenever my cholesterol count and sodium tolerance permits <G>.

What's your guilty pleasures?

My guilty pleasures? Dos Eqquis draft beer and with a Mexican meal, coffee and Sopasillas for dessert. Luckily, don't make a habit of it.

Er well, when I eat an iced bun, I tear of the top bit with the icing, eat the rest and then eat the bit with the icing.

I also love Ready Salted crisps with salad cream. I have been known to pour a little salad cream in a crisp packet! Oh yes I have!! Only when alone though.....

Pumpkin pie with extra creamy Redi-Whip. Never out of season for me. My comfort food is IHOP breakfast for dinner. There are certain times of the month I've just GOTTA do that!
