python question by andrea_nyc on 11 July 2006 4:35pm

The NY Times had a recent travel article about hotels that 70's rock bands stayed in back when they would wreck the rooms. I started laughing because it reminded me of something written by a Python about when they came to the States, and being a British "band" felt compelled to wreck their hotel room, which they didn't quite know how to do. I forget where I read it, but I remember it was hilarious. Does anyone else remember this?

I think it was Eric Idle and possibly it was written on his online Greedy Bastard diary but don't quote me on it. Could also have been mentioned in the Pythons Autobiography but I can't pick my copy up at the moment as it has all the Palin's travels books on it currently!!

Thanks Clare. I read this along time ago - must've been in a Python book probably from the 80's. I'm moving and all of my books are in boxes, so I can't look either! Darn...
