Oh, SOPHIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are killing me. Edinburgh. it's a favorite place of mine. Larry and I had the best time. We met Phyll there and the family a few tmes too. (Of course, we've met them a lot since then, there in Scotland and here in the USA). But anyway, OMG, there's so much to do and see. You won't have to worry about ever being bored. You must go to Bobby's Pub and Restaurant for something to eat and visit the little graveyard. Of course, do all the touristy stuff--the castle, the palace, Calton Hill... I can't begin to tell you all you can do.

Do a brass rubbing too . I did and am getting it framed as a gift for Christmas. Mom picked it up from the framer yesterdy and stored it until then. I haven't seen it in it's final state. But it's a nice souvenir and it's a fun project. Won't take too much time either.

Go to Dirty Dick's for a meal and think of the Donnellys and us. We ate dinner there twice with them. lol it's located on the lower end of the Royal Mile.

Be sure to read tons beofre you go. There's a ton of hisotry Jekyll and Hyde, etc.

Which hotel are you staying in, SOph? We were at Jurys, near the trains tation. A great location., and wquiet, believe it or not.

Oh, I see Pedro mentioned Bobby's already. lol BTW, inside the pub is a photograph of the dog laying on his masters grave. it tore my heart out. Talk about faithful and loyal to his master. it'll kill you.

And you must visit Cafe Royal, I believe it;'s on Rose Street. But it's a must see spot. Just peek in and see the tile portraits of the scientists and the gorgeous interior of the pub. We ate lunch there one afternoon. Beautiful place.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. No easy task! lol
