Try watching some of the old Python sketches or reading 'The Big Blue Book' instead of discussing things which seem to be out of the remit of this website.

What!!!

Listen matey, this is a DISCUSSION BOARD! We generally talk about anything, although often we use Python as a theme, things can move about a bit. That's what discussions are for...Look, if I was you I would get out more and stop taking yourself so seriously..over and out...

Anyway 9/11 a film or not?
bye yawl..

Not yet, Martin 99. Future filmographers can have their chance, but it's too fresh in our minds now. Let a generation pass first, is my opinion.

personally, I think 9/11 should be left alone.
It would be respectful to the victim's families...

Helen, on second thought, I agree with you completely. I just know I wouldn't attend. It would be in poor taste indeed.

Would you say Schindlers List is in bad taste then?
Also films about Northern Ireland(IRA) also tend to go down well in America.
Don't you think it will be interesting to have re-created some of the events of this awful day, which changed history ?

I usually don't watch films on the Holocaust or war-oriented or violent films.
I did see SL and I did not like it.
I would not watch a re-creation of 9/11. It would upset me way too much.

I'm with you, Helen. In fact, I can't watch the re-telling of such horrific historicalevents. I'm also not the least bit interested in movies about child abuse, spousal abuse, battered women, pitiful biographies of people of the not too distanct past (such as Princess Diana, Natalie Wood, etc...), rape or murder. There's enough of that in the news everyday without rehashing it on the screen and having distortions in many of these sorrowful, attempts at the truth. And if completely truthful, it's too upsetting.

Does anyone remember the joke in the Big Blue Book that advertised the holiday home for cats, dogs and family pets? The Universal Pie Company!
