80 Days board game?? No really??

As Mama Cass once said...pyscho-jello!

I've never heard of this before, so please excuse me. What...what's on it? I assume the goal is to get around the world in 80 Days... ;O) Explain more, please. :O)

Got it from eBay myself Lyn, everything else I have came from eBay aswell. I always had the videos and enjoyed them immensely but never felt compelled to buy the books until I saw the great bargains on eBay (I'm not on commission to say that by the way) it's a great way to enhance your collection.

The 80 Days game is great but far too complicated to explain. Although the game states no knowledge of the series is required, the questions you have to answer would prove otherwise.

Simply put you follow the International Date Line round the world, answering your questions correctly so as not to fall behind the Line, and to accumulate points, whilst dropping off post cards on the way and avoiding bad news at the same time, but in a complicated way. None the less I've enjoyed playing it a number of times since I bought it.

It was released in 1992 so I doubt you could still buy it in the shops, unless it was a charity shop of course.

Groovy...I've never put in the effort to buy something off ebay before, but if I ever get the time or the money I'd love to check and see if that game was there. It'd be great to get my hands on one of those! Thanks for sharing!

Is that the only board game spawned from Michael's travels?

does it take 80 days to complete the game?!?! and do we end up at the reform club for a cream tea - big hug and marmite?

Almost 80 days, I don't think the Reform Club would let us in for anything never mind a cream tea and marmite with wing tips. It is the only game from Michael's journeys as far as I know.
