Hope all is well, with you all.Michael will be here in Perth this weekend for the writers festival, I have just noticed that on the web site that he will be at the ABC shop here in Perth for a book signing so even though I miss out on his talks I will get to meet him on Monday after lunch Yahoo, jumping for joy, give a little giggle and dance around the room, shall get the excited grin off my face eventually.
Keep smiling
Julie

USA: Julie, did you forget to mention Gooseberry Hill? I would love to know someone who knows it's whereabouts in Perth. My best German friend moved there many years ago and I haven't seen him since. He used to live in Munich. I DO hear from him every Christmas, by telephone or mail. He was the best.

Aus:Dear Patty,
I did not forget about you I answered your question on the How was Palin in NZ thread, but I shall re answer it for you. The area is in the hills about 45min from me. The views can take in all the surrounds of Perth the area is around our water catchment areas and there is a lot of natural bush land around the area. It can be very pituresque and the views breathtaking.
I hope this answers your question.

Julie

USA: Julie! Thank you so much for repeating your answer about Gooseberry Hill. I have not looked under the other thread lately. Instead I kept returning to this one since that's where the original question was asked. But I usually read as many threads as I can every day. Must just have missed it there.
Anyway-- I am so happy someone knows the area enough to tell me a little more about it. The last time I saw him, in Munich, he showed me the blueprints of the house he designed for when he moved. It was huge and sat near the water on a hill. He mentioned that and I have tried to find it on the maps, but have failed. Anyway, it sounds wonderful. He invited me there a few times, but the trip is just so very far from the east coast of the USA.I don't know if I'm up to such a long flight, especially without stops along the way. The problem is, where would I stop to rejuvenate myself? By the time I would arrive, I'd be broke and have to come hme again. And also, I can't sleep on a plane so that makes it worse. Many thanks again for your info.

Patty~

I was just hunting through the old threads and I found it. Some threads are timeless, aren't they? ;)

Julie! That makes two Aussie fans! I'm from North East Victoria. Great to see someone else from Australia!
