This 93 year old actor died this week. She was Ronald Regan's first wife and starred in many old films. RIP.

Guys, I am going to be a real party-pooper here, unfortunately I know little about JW, except I think she was in Dallas or something, oh, and she was an ex-presidents wife.
A very good friend of mine died recently (Anne, Spursfan may have seen it in the local Newsletter) His name was Felix Brown, a chap who joined the RAF in the late 50`s and was born in Jamaica, he told me it was not that easy for black people in those days in England, but, Felix had a great personality and a great gift for sports and coached many youngsters into Boxing locally, as well as running football teams etc, he was a great ambassador for sport and was a true noble gent. Few and far between.
I am sure JW will have many at her funeral, but how many will be `Friends` and how many will be gawkers? Felix had over 400 people turn up, I am sure there would have been more but the family kept it quiet.
My point is, without wanting to sound shirty, is this, people die every day, some are well known, film stars, musicians etc, they get all the headlines dont they? yet there are thousands of good folk like Felix who probably do not get the recognition they deserve, anyway, I HAVE blathered on, I know.
Felix Brown, God bless you.

Was it in this week's newsletter? We have it every week but I haven't read it yet!

I am sorry about the loss of your friend. It sounds as if he was a good bloke.

Felix sounds like an interesting man to have known. I am sorry for your loss and he will be missed by those who knew him.

Guys, I appreciate your thoughts for my friend, anne, the article was in the 16th august edition, it does go to show though, that no matter what poop sometimes manifests itself on this site, there are some good people out there, and goodness knows that this is what this world needs.

Wheelrim, I'm very sorry about your friend & know what you mean about the famous getting all the attention.
A heartwarming exception is Jane Tomlinson (you'll have seen the articles) who raised about £2m AFTER being diagnosed with cancer. Her funeral was covered in all the media.

Yes, Linz, Jane Wyman I remember from old movies. Wasn't she in 'Seven Brides for Seven Brothers,?
