Deep-fried Cadburys creme eggs by suzulu on 26 March 2008 10:07pm

Apparently a fish and chip shop in Maidstone, Kent, had deep-fried Cadburys creme eggs on the menu over the Easter holidays!

I don't like the thought of deep-fried Mars Bars either (I think they do this in Scotland mainly) - mind you I find it hard to eat a whole Mars Bar anyway, too big. But I do like dunking them in tea or coffee....before you send me to the loony bin, try it!! The choccie melts and it's yummy!

Ah they do deep fried Mars Bars in our local chippy, Kathryn and her friends eat 'em. Heart attack in a bag if you ask me.

I'm from Texas, and every year at the Texas State Fair there is something new that has been deep fried: fried oreos, fried coke, fried ice cream (to name just a few). I have yet to see deep-fried creme eggs or Mars Bars, though.

Is that a fresh water creme egg, suzulu, or an ocean dwelling species? Would you be able to order a single creme egg and chips, or would you need to get the whole dozen?

Oh when it comes to ordering them Deepfried Lounger I'd guess you have vinegar on them, maybe a little chopped onion/lemon.

Sue can tell us. Were they an apres-chips delicacy would you say?
