I think I've completely lost it by mrsteabag on 8 March 2009 2:32am

Ok, Gentle Palinites...let me back up a couple of weeks. I had a dream that I was riding a camel through the streets of an ancient city. I was dressed in purple silk robes trimmed with gold coins. My camel was wearing a jeweled harness and saddle. People cheered as I came down the streets I rode past a building with a blue tiled dome. Now, this last week our PBS station ran a Rick Steves (he does a travel series) special on his visit to Iran. He visited the city of Espahan. The main mosque there has a blue tiled dome--the one in my dream. Now, this is the nuts part: I would like to travel there someday. I want to see this city; I am captivated by the ancient vastness of the landscapes beyond the city. Is this a dream to pursue, or should I take gin and potato chips and sleep it off? Thanks...

I saw that Rick Steves episode. So that was YOU? You know, in the shadows of the blue dome...

The history of that area goes wayyyyy back. Enjoy your visit to Iran.

NO, GO, Judy!

Pete, it very well might have been me in some form back there. Uh, Linda, sweetie, it's Fran, not Judy, here, and I will go--don't know when or how, so I will let That Which Is worry about it for me. When I do, you'll hear all about it. :)(anyone smell a book?)
Interesting note: I read Rick's journal about his trip on his website. "Death to..." is the Persian correlate of "bleep you." As in "death to the jerk who just cut me off; death to the opposing soccer team..." puts a different spin on things, doesn't it?

Definitely go, Fran! Your dream is telling you now is a good time.

Jeez, does that sound like a fortune cookie saying or what? LOL

Following up...found a tour company started by a woman who was married to an Iranian and lived there for a while. We've been in touch. More than what you ever thought you wanted to know about camels can be found at http://fohn.net/camel-pictures-facts.

Oh, and another camel dream: Orion and his little sister Missy (just in the dream, not in real life-yet:) were running up and downstairs, barking and dancing around. I went downstairs, and found a camel in the family room.
