New Terry Jones Series. by tucsonmike on 6 May 2009 2:33pm

This was a three parter on last Saturday on History Intl. He did the Romans and barbarians. He covered the following groups.
Celts, Germans, Persians, Greeks, Huns, and Vandals. The commons theme seeming to be, "What have the Romans ever done for us?" Oh yes, I forgot the Dacians.

I bet he was good, Mike. I just won't forget trhe dazzling lecture he gave on King Richard II last year - as the guy from the Historical Associations said, he really is a leading historian.

He clearly isn't just a mediaevalist.

I think that was a repeat or something--that's exactly what I have on DVD. It's got the History Channel logo, too. It was very interesting, though there was lots of time spent panning costumed people standing stock still and a few moments where the background music overpowered the narration. And Terry's speech impediment was occasionally annoying.
