C6H12O6 + 6O2 -> 6CO2 + 6H2O
Anyone recognise that reaction?
I don't mind chemistry, it's quite friendly in places, even though I'm the World's Worst at Practicals (I usually manage to mess up in a spectacular, and potentially lethal, fashion)
Nothing can beat Geography though ^_^

Is it the combustion of an alkene? Butene? i'm probably WAY wrong, never mind :)
My fave subject's history, Sophie-Lou. Does anyone else do history? I found the history of medicine interesting.
Anyone else thinking that maybe Geography is Lieno's fav subject? Don't know where i got that from!

But it cant be an hydorcarbon, it's got oxygen in it! (the C6H12O6 that is).
will you be telling us the answer any time soon?
Help me!

i like history too ello, but i had to drop it in year nine as i it was in the same option boxes as Geography and Art, my strongest and favourite subjects. I find History fascinating, especially the second world war. One of my favourite books is the Diary Of Anne Frank, so touching and true, it really gets to me every time i read it. Have any of you read it?

By the way, i am still confused about the exothermic thing!! lol
Llieno, your telling me you like chemistry? you lucky girl, i tried to make myself like it, but failed miserably!! i think that if you like a subject you are bound to be good at it.

Llieno, what is your favourite topic in Geography and when is your exam?

Chocolate and exam stress!.....

'i like history too ello, but i had to drop it in year nine as i it was in the same option boxes as Geography and Art'

I'm moreorless the same, I really really love History, but I foolishly chose drama instead of it (something I've been regretting all year 11). I love history almost as much as I love geography, and my specialist subject is the philosophy of time. Having a good memory sorta helps too ^_^

That reaction was respiration by the way,
glucose + oxygen -> carbon dioxide + water (+ energy)
I only know the chemicals because of one fat Scouser teacher telling us it to prepare us for the SATS Science Extension Paper. He said if any of us got a level 8 he'd buy us a pint when we're old enough.
I quite like chemistry, not the practical, but the different combinations of chemicals. I think that means I like chemistry as an art form...which would mean that I'm crazy
I prefer other subjects to science though, they're more creative.

My favorite topic in geography? That's a hard one! Erm...like I said, anything involving maps generally...whats your favourite?

Thanks Bruce, by the way ^_^
