The Chatter Box : Blathering On
Cats. by johnnythemonkey on 18 March 2010 4:46pm
My old cat talks. Well I know that he doesn't but he does say owwwt when he stands at the back door. I'm new to cats, having just adopted old McGill last year but he does make different sounds for his wants. I believe that over his sixteen or more years, he has heard people say to him " Do you want out ? " and now he says owwwwt.
My eldest daughter has brought a kitten to live with us ( without a by your leave ) and it's so different to see such a young cat. I thought that McGill was lively enough for his years but he is just a sedate old thing compared to Mawgwi. She leaps onto the tops of doors and onto ceiling lights. She's also quite destructive and I keep telling Chas that she'll have to go. ( the cat that is, Chas just keeps coming back. )
Since I've started this post, a cat appeared at the back door ( just behind where I'm sitting.)
I call it 'big wooly'.This cat belongs in a cartoon ! It has a coat like a mammoth.
It seems to be a friend of McGill though, as he appeared at the door one day along with it as if to introduce it. That's good, as there is another cat that turns up here and bullies McGill and he doesn't seem to have the sense of his years to know that he's onto a loser.
He comes home with torn ears and cuts to his face and just stays at home for a few days.
Been there. :)

No bIG, girls like you can join in.
Big wooly came to the door again but McGill was disinterested. I picked him up ( which he hates) to show him that his friend was calling and when I put him down he just strolled off to his bed.
