No Guinness on St. Patrick's Day?! by Ken Dunn on 17 March 2011 7:26pm

I went to our local Tesco store earlier this evening to buy a couple of cans of Guinness to celebrate St. Patrick's Day only to find that the law has been changed such that you can only buy a four pack now. The Scottish Government are working on trying to stamp out binge drinking but this new arrangement seems to be promoting it.

Sadly, I didn't get my Guinness but I did get an eight pack of cheaper beer within my budget for the celebration.

My wife has just asked me, "What are we doing tomorrow?" and I replied, "We are going out to a pub so that I can buy a pint of Guinness to celebrate St. Patrick's Day properly, albeit a day late!"

Be 'da hokey! I said;

"Thank you very much Terry S, blessings of God and much happiness on this Saint Patrick's day, Ken I am sure you will make a toast to all the Irish abroad, and enjoy that pint of Guinness!"

Guess who's coming to Ireland in May, apart from me and the hubby,

Caught ya just on time (Pacific, that is) Loretto...Happy St Patrick's. Or is it good form to wish one a good'ay without a pint 'o' Guinness in each hand?

Maybe I'll step out for a quick one...of Guinness of course!

Lounge O'Trekker!!! Love it!!! We never do anything for Saint Patrick's Day, isn't that a disgrace!!! Last year for the first time ever we went into New York for the parade. Myself and my friend were walking along the street when college kids started throwing up, lovely! And it was green too, and they ended up wearing it!

We celebrated dad's bday on that day so it was wine for us, not Guinness
