Joe Bageant: 1946-2011 by bIG bLOGGER on 28 March 2011 4:54pm

Outspoken American traveller, broadcaster and writer, Joe Bageant --author of DEERHUNTING WITH JESUS and RAINBOW PIE--A REDNECK MEMOIR--,sadly died yesterday aged 64.
He deceased after a 4-month struggle with cancer, and is survived by his wife Barbara, and by his three children.
He had a legion of friends and admirers and was never afraid to stand up and speak the truth, as he perceived it,even if that meant he was unpopular in some quarters.
