Things you can't buy. by johnnyBgood! on 12 February 2012 2:26pm

My 10 month old grandson Jacob John stayed with us last night. He has recently 'found his feet' and when he walks his few steps towards my arms, I just hug him and laugh my head off with joy that I have him. Were us cynical adults once as happy as my 'beautiful boy'?

Awww! Indeed we were.

I believe the same as Sue. We were. Tonight, my brother related a conversation his four-year old had with his Mom:

Boy: Mummy, if we had a pet, would you like a cat?
Mom: Nooo, I'm allergic to cats.
Boy: How about a dog?
Mom: Our yard is kind of small so..no dog.
Boy (pauses): How about a dragon?

I'm flying out to see those guys, my nephews. I must see two of my favourite people while they are still little fellows.

Love him, John, spoil him rotten. Treat him like the little Prince he is.

Things that you can't buy....happiness and talent.

I watched the Grammys last night and there were lots of tributes to Whitney Houston. So sad that she couldn't overcome the demons, but I have to say the opening act, Bruno Mars, I had never heard of them until last night, did a fantastic job in getting the crowd in a celebratory mood.

Happiness can't buy you money. ;)

My friends little boy made me cry once, when I asked what he wanted for Christmas, assuming like most kids he would list a toy or a console. All he said was, "Lots of snow, so I can play snowballs".

Ah that is cute!

Things you can't buy anymore....a brand new set of Encyclopaedia Brittanicas....stopping their printing after more than 200 years. They only sold 8,000 sets in 2010.

End of an era.

""This has nothing to do with Wikipedia or Google," Encyclopaedia Britannica Inc. President Jorge Cauz said. "This has to do with the fact that now Britannica sells its digital products to a large number of people."
