Female Comedy Group by Chris14 on 10 July 2012 4:25am

Hey Palinites, I've posted this 'advert' to many places (twitter, facebook, John Cleese's forum, other comedy related pages, gumtree, etc), but I'm posting it here too... I'd like to form a female comedy group - and it's harder than I thought. I've got some applicants, but they don't seem keen enough, so I might need to look for new people. Anyway, everyone can join. Even guys - for minor roles, and filming people are specially welcome. But who I really need: funny girls. Who take the comedy seriously.

I'm London-based, and if it's true - with the people who previously applied, we plan to shoot a sketch-show sometime in the autumn. But as they seem disappearing, nothing's sure yet.

Summarising, if you're a female (or if you think you are), if you're funny (or if you think you are), if you're SERIOUSLY ENTHUSIASTIC about comedy (and not only think you are), and if you're London (or England, or UK, or anywhere else) based (but you're able either to come to London for the shooting days, or, if you've got sketches and you're able to shoot them yourself, and submit it), then please reply my advert. I'll give you an email-add. Or you'll find me on Twitter: https://twitter.com/christhebutcher

I look forward to collaborate with anyone who applies.

Oh, and please, note: this is an UNPAID (which means: NON-paid!) opportunity, and hopefully we'll gain fame and fortune together.

I think being a man who wishes he were an entertaining girl is funny enough to qualify me for the role. Waddya think?

But seriously, bounce it off us, Chris, if anyone can make something funny, we can.

(:p

Chris, If I could get to London @ this time, I would be a fall guy for you. I can act silly around women, that part for me does not need much acting.

Chris, I wish you well. I made a couple of sarcastic comments, which you will notice I've deleted.

Comedy is a difficult art. If I stood up in front of an audience and failed to get them laugh in the first 2 minutes,it would destroy me. Many of the most successful comics also feel that way and dread that tonight may be the night that they fail. That fear took them to the top and kept them there.

I'm checking the replies now, so, fortunately I didn't read the deleted nasty comments. :-) Anyway, it wouldn't be a live performance, I want to film the sketches.
